How Do I Earn the Maximum Rebate?
In order to receive a full or partial rebate for your new heat pump, there are a few conditions you’ll have to fulfill. The program is designed to offer assistance to residents who would benefit most from energy efficiency upgrades.

- Cape Light Compact
- Eversource
- Liberty Utilities
- National Grid

To ensure as many people can take advantage of the rebate program as possible, Mass Save offers both whole-home and partial rebates. If you’re planning on supplementing existing equipment with a new heat pump, you’ll earn a partial rebate based on the tonnage of the specific model.
Whole-home rebates are available to customers installing a qualifying, high-efficiency heat pump as their sole source of heating and cooling. Your home must also be adequately weatherized, with the verification form completed and signed. Even if you’re ineligible for the whole-home rebate, investing in weatherization can qualify partial-rebate customers for an additional $500 bonus.
